Partners shape what enters the room. The room owns what comes out.
The Decision Room builds a working programme around live priorities, questions, constraints and applied objectives across capital, climate and industry. Partners can join work already in development, help shape it where there is a strong fit, or bring a relevant priority, question or objective that should enter the programme. A strong question matters beyond one organisation and gives the people who hold different sides of the decision a reason to be in the same room.
We then build the brief, composition and format around what the work requires. Partners can contribute evidence, perspectives and relevant participants. The Decision Room remains responsible for final composition and for how the work is captured and represented.
Build the institution
One Founding Institutional Partner takes a visible founding role across the annual Edition, Capital Floor, year-round working rooms and The Record.
Embed the capital
A Capital Institution Position places a recurring investment mandate inside the architecture used to assemble the capital side of TDR.
Bring the work
Programme partners can join work already in development, help shape it where there is a strong fit, or bring a relevant priority, question or objective into the programme.
Build the institution that holds the work.
A Founding Institutional Partner supports the operating infrastructure that allows The Decision Room to work across questions, markets and editions. The relationship sits above any single programme brief. It holds a standing position spanning two years, carrying across the annual Edition, the Capital Floor, year-round working rooms and The Record, and gives the institution continuity as the work develops from one year to the next.
- One Founding Institutional Partner position across the 2027-2028 institutional build
- Recognition across The Decision Room and its annual Editions throughout the two-year relationship
- One permanent enhanced institutional base on the Capital Floor at each annual Edition
- Ten named participant passes each year
- One significant annual programme allocation around a live priority, designed as an Anchor or agreed combination of working formats
- Up to ten participant or institution nominations each year, subject to fit and final curation
- Two private founder briefings each year around emerging constraints, institutional gaps and where TDR is developing
- Priority participation in relevant year-round Back Tables, briefings and working sessions
- Where the institution also deploys capital directly, its active mandate may be incorporated into TDR's capital calibration, sourcing and routing architecture
- An annual private intelligence briefing synthesising recurring constraints, capital gaps, institutional patterns and unresolved questions emerging from the work
- First conversation around deeper programme opportunities as new work develops
Put the mandate inside the architecture.
A Capital Institution Position is for investment institutions that want their active mandate embedded into how the capital side of TDR is assembled. At least six months before each annual Edition, TDR calibrates the institution's active mandate: where it deploys, the instruments it uses, what evidence it requires, what it will not do and what typically prevents capital from moving. That profile then helps inform where TDR searches, which companies and financing cases enter the system, which capital questions need to be pressure-tested and where routing may genuinely be useful.
- Permanent enhanced Capital Floor base at each annual Edition, with a larger physical setup agreed within the TDR design system
- Four named Edition passes each year
- Priority participation for up to two named representatives across relevant Roundtables or Workshops each Edition, subject to relevance, capacity and final TDR curation
- One annual mandate-calibration session
- Early consultation on relevant capital and deployment questions while they are still forming
- Mandate-based routing against the institution's actual investment profile
- Three nominations each year; approved nominees receive complimentary standard Edition access, with closed-room participation separately curated
- Priority consideration for relevant Back Tables, capital working sessions and briefings
- One private pre-Edition Capital Briefing
- One annual Capital Review
- One post-Edition review carrying the relationship into the next annual cycle
Calibrate → Search → Pressure-test → Route → Continue
Capital Floor Position: a permanent base for one Edition. Capital Institution Position: a two-year mandate relationship that begins before the Floor is assembled.
One priority. Worked through an arc of connected rooms.
- One arc shaped around the priority, typically two or more Roundtables and a Workshop in sequence
- Each working format addresses a distinct question, decision or objective within the wider brief
- One bespoke element where useful, such as a private briefing, Capital Floor intervention or another format the work requires
- Participation strategy and recruitment across your network and ours
- 15 named participant passes
- Pre-event research and brief development
- Facilitation and structured capture of the work
- The resulting Record
- A route for continuation where the work should carry beyond the Edition
- Programme recognition across the Anchor partnership
An arc is a sequence of rooms built around one priority. Each room works a different question, dependency or decision within the brief and hands what it concludes to the next. An Anchor Partner funds the whole arc. A Roundtable or Workshop Partner takes one room, on its own or inside an arc.
This example begins with a market constraint. Other Anchors may begin with a strategic priority, deployment objective, market opportunity or transition challenge.
one shape among several
Capital wants exposure to a market that does not yet have the structures to carry it. The instrument that could work has not been built, and nobody is yet willing to underwrite the first one.
Who could structure it?
The people capable of building a financeable instrument work through what currently prevents it and what would have to change.
Carries forward the conditions a structure would have to meetWhose commitment would make it viable?
Buyers, offtakers and aggregators test those conditions against what they can commit to, and on what terms.
Carries forward which commitments are available, and which are notWork the structure.
One structure is built from what the two Roundtables established and pressure-tested against a live case, with the people who could build it and those whose commitment decides whether it holds.
Carries forward a structure that held, or the reason it did notThe Record, with the host named and the conclusions belonging to the room. An essay where the argument warrants one. A route onward, to a Back Table between editions or a room at the next, starting from where this arc stopped.
Systemic Capital, hosted by Wyss Academy for Nature with Amazonia Impact Ventures and Innpact. The room closed on a commitment to map the capital stack nature-positive investment needs.
The Model for Funding Nature Is Broken. A Brazil-Nut Chain Shows What Isn't. The question tested against one real value chain.
Detangling Nature Financing. Thirty seats, one evening, on the question the essay left open.
The Aggregation Layer, The Catalytic Layer, The Stack. The question split into who builds the layer, who carries first loss, and whether one landscape clears an institutional threshold.
Each step started where the last one stopped.

Roundtable
What do we need to understand or decide?
One live question. One room, alone or inside an arc.
Workshop
What do we need to test, structure or build?
One applied objective. On its own, or the room that closes an arc.
Anchor
What larger priority needs several rooms in sequence?
One arc.
What carries beyond the room.
The Record
What the room concluded. What remained unresolved. Where people disagreed. The conditions attached to any commitment, and the next moves participants chose to make explicit. Partners review the Record for factual accuracy. They do not approve or rewrite its conclusions.
The essay
Where the work warrants it, the session continues as research after the room and is published as an essay or report under The Decision Room, with the partner named as the host of the question.
The continuation
Some work should not reset every May. Where useful, the work continues through Back Tables, briefings or the next annual Edition, starting from where the previous work stopped.
Bring the network. Keep the relevance.
- An agreed Capital Floor presence appropriate to the delegation
- Named participant places
- Pre-event routing
- Cluster placement
- Consideration for relevant Roundtables and Workshops
- A grouped presence where being legible together improves the value of the network

Before we scope the relationship.
Start with what you are trying to move. If you want a visible founding role across The Decision Room itself, the Founding Institutional Partner is the institutional relationship. If you deploy capital and want your active mandate incorporated into how TDR searches, routes and builds its capital side across two Editions, the Capital Institution Position is the relevant route.
A priority that needs several rooms in sequence is an Anchor, which funds a whole arc. One unresolved question is a Roundtable. One applied objective is a Workshop. Either can stand alone or sit inside an arc. If you are bringing a relevant portfolio, membership or network, we build a Collective Delegation around it. If you simply want a permanent physical base on the Capital Floor for one Edition, that sits under Access, which has a direct Capital Floor Position enquiry.
It secures the relationship and work described in the agreed scope. For programme partners, that means the agreed question, objective or programme and the work built around it. For a Capital Institution, it means the recurring mandate-calibration, sourcing, routing and participation relationship. For the Founding Institutional Partner, it means the institution-wide relationship described above. It does not purchase a predetermined outcome or guaranteed access to particular people.
No. A named Edition pass provides access to the Edition and Capital Floor. Closed working rooms are composed separately around the brief, participant relevance and overall room balance. Where a relationship includes explicit programme allocations, those are stated separately.
Partners can identify the roles, organisations and people they believe the work requires, nominate relevant participants and flag perspectives that are missing. TDR makes the final composition decision. No relationship guarantees the attendance of a particular investor, company, public official or institution.
Partners can help shape a priority, question or objective, help sharpen work already in development, contribute evidence, identify missing voices and nominate relevant participants. TDR retains responsibility for final participant composition, facilitation, attribution and publication. A partnership does not guarantee access to a named person or institution, predetermined conclusions or editorial control.
We start with what you are trying to achieve, what needs to move, who the work depends on and the budget available. From there, we determine whether the right structure is an institutional relationship, Capital Institution Position, Anchor, defined programme format, delegation or another route. Partnership pricing is not published because the scope depends on the relationship and work required.
